The area closure in place for public safety due to the Dixie Fire has been updated. Effective September 23, 2021.
It is prohibited to go into or be upon any part of the area described herein and/or shown on the attached map. The boundary of the closed area commences at the junction of National Forest System Road (“NFSR”) 222 and NFSR 1190, located in T26N, R08E, section 11 and proceeds Northeast along NFSR 222 approximately 9.3 miles to the intersection with NFSR 1190, located in T27N, R09E, section 16. Then proceeding Southerly approximately 2.7 miles along NFSR 1190 to the intersection with NFSR 421, located in T27N, R09E, section 28. Then proceeding South along NFSR 421 approximately 16.3 miles to the intersection with FS Trail 96, located in T25N R09E, section 1. Then proceeding Southwest approximately 13.5 miles on FS Trail 96 to the junction with NFSR 222K, located in T24N, R08E, section 15. Then proceeding Southwest approximately 2.9 miles on NSFR 222K to the junction with NSFR 222, located in T24N, R08E, section 29. Then proceeding along NFSR 222, Northwest, then North, then Northeast a total of approximately 21.4 miles returning to the junction with NFSR 1190.
The area contained within this closure order contains 74,499 acres more or less.
It is prohibited to be on any road within the closed area, including but not limited to: NFSR 9505, NFSR 9545, NFSR 233 NFSR 222N, NFSR 222F.
It is prohibited to be on any trail within the closed area, including but not limited to: FS Trail 502, FS Trail 96-1, FS Trail 201, FS Trail 210, FS Trail 211, FS Trail 212
