About:

Lolo Pass Visitor Center, constructed in 2003, echoes the log-built architecture of historic Forest Service ranger stations of the past. The visitor center serves as one of the many historic landmarks along U.S. Highway 12, known as the Lewis & Clark Highway. The visitor center displays information on the Lewis and Clark journey across the Bitterroot Mountains and the 1877 flight of the Nez Perce Indians, and provides historical, natural, and general information about the area.

Lolo Pass is a popular recreation area for winter sports enthusiasts, offering skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing opportunities. A variety of events are held at Lolo Pass year-'round. The facility includes an interpretive center, small book store & gift shop, covered picnic area, picnic tables, and short interpretive trails with benches. The visitor center doubles as a rest area, with public restroom facilities open 24/7.
